In marketing, we all know that keywords are important.

And when it comes to marketing yourself as an employee, keywords are vital in getting your foot through the door.

But the more time that I spend in the professional world (especially in a job searching capacity) it becomes more and more apparent how keywords just don't always paint an accurate picture about the type of worker you are.

 

What sounds good on paper usually has so much more meaning and context behind it when it comes to individual job settings. The more that I collaborate in teams of people and uncover the minutiae and challenges that come with that, the more I have identified a pattern of skills I possess that have helped me to be successful.

These intangible skills usually don't make it onto a resume, because they often sound hollow without illustration. But I have found that creativity, logical problem solving, and empathy are the cornerstones of my success - and in order to properly explain why, I created this site.
